Bobbi Roquemore Loyola University New Orleans, Louisiana
Bobbi Roquemore graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, in December 2012. Bobbi was the Articles/Symposium Editor of the Loyola Law Review in 2011-2012. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and is a 1998 graduate of Marquette University. Bobbi spent several years as a professional journalist before attending law school. Bobbi has worked as a Summer Associate at Baker Donelson, Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr and Smith, and BNSF Railway. She has also completed internships with the New Orleans Saints – where she was first introduced to workers’ compensation – and Louisiana Workers’ Compensation District 9 Judge Elizabeth Lanier.
Ms. Roquemore was awarded $1,500 as the first place winner of this year’s competition and her paper will also be published in the Spring 2013 issue of Workers’ First Watch, the national publication of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG). In addition, Loyola New Orleans Law School received $1,000 for its scholarship program.
